Re: M.O.O. 2

I purchased MOO2 several years ago because of this web comic, it was an excellent investment. It makes me wonder what other great works of art (not just video games) are out there which I have not heard of. Also give the "Ur Quan Masters" a try, it's a free to download game and now they've released...

Re: Loroi abilities, and Loroi Judo

The first battle you describe was one of the first in the war, before the trenches stretched across Europe. The cavalry engagement described was a skirmish between scouting parties. The second battle was part of the last great offensive of the war, when the German lines were broken and Allied force...

Re: Page 100

Page 99 and 100 have some very good body language depictions with the eyes, arms and hands. Not easy to give a "strong" yet subtle image in a still frame but there are some very good depictions of it here.

Re: Distraction thread

Well my tastes are quite different from yours, I wasn't too keen on C/BotS and I generally don't like sweet romantic things too much, but I'll dump a load of advice based off of all you've said so far. I told you about Legend of the Galactic Heroes, it has very little in the way of what you could de...

Re: Distraction thread

No, I just meant that Ginga Eiyū Densetsu was its name in Japanese, the English translation of which is Legend of the Galactic Heroes. There is no English dub, there isn't even an official English sub, just a fan sub from Central Anime, but it's a good quality sub so that's no big deal.

Re: Distraction thread

So here's a distraction for you all! Suggest a new* dramatic scifi, war or action anime series to watch! I recently watched through most of the Seikai no Monshou/Seki anime cluster (with the exception of Seikai no Danshou [Crest of the Stars: Birth] and the two [mostly-]recap movies summarizing two...

Jaja. I don´t care anymore about that well-known yadayada. Sorry. Because: As i stated before, we Germans are ACTUALLY DEMONSTRATING that renewables not only WORK , but even AMORTIZE . And this is only the beginning. I´m relaxed, because of this i don´t have to argue anymore. Yes so successful it r...

Re: WIP - concept characters page (spoilers ??)

Well not much point flogging a dead horse, so I'll just wrap up with two points:- 1. By this logic:- I've discussed why I'm not using "Empress" instead of "Emperor" at length, but here's a quick recap: the feminine suffix is diminutive, misleading and culturally inappropriate as regards the Loroi. I...

Re: WIP - concept characters page (spoilers ??)

Even in England, which did have a tradition of female monarchs, Queen Elizabeth I referred to herself as a "prince" when she was talking about her role as head of state. That's interesting, but you aren't (or at least, shouldn't be) writing for an Elizabethan audience, but a modern one, for which t...

Re: WIP - concept characters page (spoilers ??)

I know of no historical text or english language dictionary which defines the distinction between King/Queen Emperor/Empress etc. as you have used it and your usage of it in this fashion is genuinely new and baffling to me. To say that female rule is the exception, not the norm in monarchy is a his...

Re: WIP - concept characters page (spoilers ??)

It's not an issue of political correctness, just one of accuracy; a queen is not a female monarch. A queen is just the wife of a king. There have been queens that assumed the role of sovereign head of state, but that is the exception rather than the rule. Even in England, which did have a tradition...

Re: WIP - concept characters page (spoilers ??)

In terms of Greywind's hair being long enough to drag on the ground, I don't think that would be problem for someone at the apex of status... either the floor is always kept so immaculate that it's not a problem, or you have attendants to carry it for you (which I believe I have seen illustrations ...

Outsider has a pretty large bodycount... this isn't one of those war stories where nobody seems to get killed. Be prepared. ;) Make us a promise. Please. Do not kill off Alex. I would like to see him as an old man telling stories of a War in Heaven to his grandchildren. OR ... an eye-circles having...

Re: The vessel that destroyed Bellarmine

Surely given Outsider's MoO inspiration the Antarians are the obvious suspects, or at least the Outsider version of the Antarians. So I suppose the real question is, who is the Outsider version of the Antarians?

Re: Have the older comic pages be changed?

I think you made a mistake with the page 74 change, I think at the end it should read "voice data" not "voice and data", the "and" makes no sense in there. Unless you meant it as the Lori saying things incorrectly, but surely that's a translation from trade, not the Lori using an actual English wor...

Re: Have the older comic pages be changed?

In addition to the new page 95, in Monday's update pages 18-28 were converted to the new larger format (pages 1-16 are still in the old smaller format). While I was doing that, I removed the "noooo" from page 28. I never particularly liked it, and it was nonsensical; Alex shouldn't be able to cry o...
