Re: Page 86
Also, it´s apparently not just the presence of heavies that caused tempos expression, but the obviously abnormal request for contact.

That Umiak bridge looks a bit imrovised, too. Sloppy engineering.
Is that shell-dude tatooed? Right in the face?

Re: Armor values
That's what I had understood from my readings. However, I'm no naval historian, and I wasn't sure if the navy had used other methods to increase the effective strength of the armor beyond the actual thickness of the steel. Bismarck and Tirpitz had an armoured belt that was made of a combination of ...

RHA is WWII-age.CptWinters wrote:Second. I don't know the RHA equivalent for WWII warship armor, but I'm assuming a 1:1 equivalence.
Today with composites, plastics, ceramics and so on it is used as equivalent (e.g. 20cm MEXAS = 40cm RHA).

Re: Concept Fanart of Future Terran Ship Designs
Dfacto, furthermore humanity might ally itself with the Umiak and gain actual technology from them. This war could have been started by the Loroi and Umiak are fighting a "war of survival" like the Russians did against the Germans. The Loroi have a history of being brutal conquerors and even though...

Re: Page 85
Before WWI, Battleships' main armaments consisted mainly of small scale guns (6") while after actual combat it was shown that fewer large velocity guns were preferable. Muzzle Velocity wasn´t that high, for the SK C/34 (Bismarck-class Main Battle Ship) it was 820m/s with Standardpowder and 800Kg sh...

Re: Page 85
Humanity has 6 colonized worlds in 4 systems, of those worlds only 2 of which could be considered heavily industrialized (Earth, Mars). The other 4 worlds are not yet self-sufficient and depend on Earth and Mars for their finished goods needs. The Loroi have 50 inhabited systems with at least one i...

another effect might be studying the human Lotai telepathic mask ( or lack of Far-seeing detection) since the Far-seeing jammer, for lack of better words, is A) Telepathic is nature and thus, our abilities might be able to get in close to one of the jamming ships (or location of the device or perso...

OT Crossover: I bet the Loroi would be happy to have Orion-7´s "Overkill-Device". * Just set a point in space and time and ruuuuun. Disadvantage: Subgluon chainreaction is unpredicable, sometimes only stops when target is consumed and density of matter goes subcritical. Don´t use it on planets... :m...
