Yeah seems that something really did leak.
It might not be normal Loroi PSI and it was Loroi to Human rather than the other way.

Re: Page 155: But hang on...

To me the most interesting information to take from this is the offhand comment about the quality of human software. The things to take away from this - not necessarily all true - Humans conducted a lot more cyberwarfare than other races against each other and as such have procedures and methods in ...

Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)

The similarities between Loroi and Humans are so staggeringly close that CLEARLY there MUST have been some common progenitor of both species. Not so much a common progenitor as a blatant copy of the human design using other materials and then modded with things such as longevity and telepathic comm...

Re: Page 74, Loroi order of battle

Here goes: does anyone know of any media portraying space battles elsewhere? proper space battles, with tactics and such, not hero saves the day in a fighter against whole fleet kind of space battles. I'd very much suggest the Honor Harrington series of novels. Originally inspired by the Horatio Ho...

Out of curiosity - how long did it take loroi to go from flight to spaceflight? I presume it took them less than humanity, considering they had a larger population and 3 worlds.

Honestly, I think the best use case scenario for AIs is in the form of neural networks for tactical and strategic computers.

I think bab5 tries at times, admittedly don't remember all that much. Particularly in the scenes with the human-minbari war of extermination. Which is actually in some ways comparable to a potential human-loroi conflict. Due to the differences in tech levels and unscrupulousness. https://www.youtube...

Re: The importance of skill in ever more advanced wars.

I think a lot of people also forget that for instance nazi germany was always on the very brink of economic collapse. Yes, the state was supporting a very large workforce, but it was always just ahead of insolvency. One of the methods it used to get to get ahead was by very aggressive expansion, exp...

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread

This does bring a different question. Has humanity developed any pharmaceuticals which help to negate or even prevent jump sickness?
And in the case it has, what about other species which feel it.

About the Pipolsid : How they manage to develop a technological civilization ? Fire is effectively impossible without specialized resources... They use some sort of " seacrete " (somewhat resembling shellfish shells) in their construcions ? I presume that they extract metal supplies from the deep s...

Armored infantry armed with the high-tech equivalent of assault rifles. That's sort of what I wanted to dig into. What are "high tech" assault rifles( I keep coming back to self firing guns, but you guys might have different ideas). What else would a Loroi have on them? Why don't they have exosuits...

In that regard - is there actually any proof of there being a biological race called the historians? Are the Loroi aware of their existance? Or is it possible that those AI constructs are in fact the historians themselves.

hi hi Mr. Tucker, that figure also includes labor and bureaucracy, just like the 450 million per launch figure. It is beginning to look like some of the Umiak's greatest industrial achievements may have been in cutting down the costs of labor and bureaucracy. At least the Umiak don't build torpedoe...

If one were going to design a race of ground troops, they might look something like... the Barsam. But ground troops are not the only kind of warrior. And in this milieu, they are actually the least important kind of warrior. Wars are won in space, not on the ground; yes, you need troops to hold th...

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread

I generally don't answer hypothetical questions about what might or might not happen in the comic. I've got a small question about human uniforms and scafanders in particular. We've seen the fairly bulky ones used by the scout fleet. Does the navy itself have access to less bulky, more modern ones ...

I've got a small question about human uniforms and scafanders in particular. We've seen the fairly bulky ones used by the scout fleet. Does the navy itself have access to less bulky, more modern ones in lieu of their probably better financing or do they share most of this equipment with the scout fl...

If you have a choice, take the T-90 into combat over the T-72. Just ask the Iraqi Republican Guard. Been watching this debate from the side lines, its starting to look like the last one about the Zumwalt  . Might be a good idea to split off into a separate topic. Fun reading along though :D I...

Re: Miscellaneous Terran question-and-answer thread

No, I'm just saying that providing electrical power to the ship is a secondary function of the main reactors. Ships will also have some kind of auxiliary power source to provide electricity when the mains are offline, as well as batteries for storage. I presume, that their secondary power might be ...
