Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
I assume Loroi dont like grenades that much? Loroi like grenades just fine, but I think they have limited use in combat aboard ship. Besides the typical grenades people think of that use meant to kill such as using the shockwave of the explosion or shrapnel, what about other varieties? Flash Grenad...

Re: Teidar/Mizol who fail their Diral Trails
It's been explained that a very large percentage (the majority, IIRC) of loroi civilians are ones who went through warrior training but failed their diral trials. That makes sense for most of the warrior castes, but what happens to prospective Teidar/Mizol who wash out? Are there loroi civilians ou...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
I'd guess that less than half of the males are in some kind of philosopher order, and as the largest such order, the Nedatan has maybe half of those. So, perhaps 20% of the male population.

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Would the local clans still use the term "tiris" for those they recognize as warriors while the federal government would call them civilians, or would the federal government have a different term for them? Is there a term for becoming a warrior? Or for a warrior proving themselves in battle for the...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Have any loroi societies not had their warriors go through a diral band process? Or have a tradition of promoting civilians to warrior for acts of heroism? The short answer is: In the current Loroi system, a civilian Loroi can never become a warrior. She might be able to earn the privilege to have ...

Re: Replace Alex With a Gigachad Who Acted Like A Gig... How Would The Story Be Different? Funny and Serious Answers Wel
A six foot Loroi male would be like an eight foot human male... possible, but I think unlikely, given that ultra-tech medicine would probably correct the sorts of medical disorders that could lead to such an outcome.

Father me many. Or: Give me many children. Biret ninat me tezair monnen mimetsaro. mimetsa - to give ( -aro - imperative) ninat - child biret - many tezair - me, myself monnen - to me - (subject marker) Note: this would be a strange thing for a Loroi female to say, as they are not supposed to have ...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Would Loroi ladies freak out if they saw a ridiculously muscled over masculine guy on par with Gigachad man? Would they be intimidated lol? Slightly lust after him (fringe Loroi I know, since they prefer boyish looking types, not some overmuscled gigachad)? Reactions would vary by individual. Most ...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Maybe for the same reasons there have been propositions to bring back mammoths. To see what the species was like in Real life. To test if perhaps the recreated Loroi possessed a psychic capability distinct to modern Loroi. I know genes don’t affect sanzai. But they do affect the construction and co...

Re: Are Loroi Women Better Than Human Women?
While cooler than human body temperature, Loroi body temperature is well above room temperature, and so it would not feel "cold" to the human touch. I think the difference would be noticeable; other humans are noticeably warm when we touch them, since we are used to touching room temperature objects...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Have there ever been Loroi fossils discovered? Fossils or mummies dating back anywhere between the Soia Empire's collapse and the Era of Reunification? Not just on the Sister Worlds but any of the other known planets/moons in Union space? Could you name a few examples? There are a variety of Loroi ...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
"Jumping ships are only in hyperspace for a fraction of a second, so I think this would be difficult to prove one way or another." What's true of the ships is also true of the minds, not so? What I mean is that even if telepathy and farsensing do work between hyperspace and real spacetime, I don't ...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
And related to that: Will we (the audience) find out/get told about all this somewhere in the future? ;) That would be poor writing if such an important question was left unanswered, in my opinion. 😁 "My bet is still, that Farseers do not detect minds directly, but their impact on the fabric of sub...
