Well, I'm late enough to this forum that 90% of the links in this thread don't work no more.

But what I have seen is excellent! It's especially neat (for a non-artist like me) to be able to see sequential WIP works, to get a sense for exactly how an artist creates the final image.

I definitely do like the idea of an Umiak cruiser with "To Deinar by Christmas National-day Celebration" scrawled across the hull. Makes for a nice distinction from the usual sci-fi default of "aliens that look like arthropods/'bugs' are borderline-eusocial at best and have no individual flavor."

I figure that repurposing a lot of 'lawyer jokes' into 'Fireblade laughs at Umiak suffering' jokes fits relatively well. Also, I suspect that Loroi PTSD hits like an absolute *truck*, so perhaps it's for the best that she can deflect it into heroic-comedic sociopathy.
