Re: [Fan Fiction] Looking forward to the Mirror
There's also crew areas marked there. And sensors tend not to glow, and the placement on other ships is nonsensical for sensors. I guess I am going to go with the destroyed explanation from now on; damn those blue bits, drawing my attention from what's important :P EDIT:Also how come the views jump...

Re: Is Outsider still an active project, or is it over?
sweforce: this is not the first long 'delay' in this story, can you see any major differences in the comic as it progresses? Not so far and that is good since I like the style. Still if Arioch should fancy a change, then it it his call. The current style are very advanced and as such slow to produc...

Re: Is Outsider still an active project, or is it over?
Considering the long delay, the artstyle may have changed by now. Usually these changes are improvements but sometimes characters change appearance so much that they are not recognized anymore. Normally such changes are gradually those so readers do not notice until they look at some years old issue...

Re: Speculation: What can Humaniti offer the Loroi?
Once it become obvious that the Soia used humans as their basic blueprint for the loroi doctrine will have to change. Basically the barsams are right or at least less wrong. Anyway, there may actually be some ancient soia artifacts in our solar system. We need to start looking. With a bit of luck we...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
About Loroi hearing and sight. Do they have the same visual spectrum as humans and do they hear the same frequencies? If not Loroi music may be partly inaudible for humans and the other way around. We may see two different colours when the Loroi see just one and vice versa. I know a largely color b...

Re: In Loroitown
It is possible that Loroi technology while generally superior to human tech, the Loroi may have missed some fields and still be behind in those fields. Sure. But then the Delrias, Pipolsid, Neridi, Barsam, Mannadi, and Arekka, have missed out on those fields as well. Possible but I got the impressi...

Re: In Loroitown
Loroi technology are largely the result of reverse engineering of anchient tech. Here on earth reverse engineering are more a question of industrial espionage. Some cultures are just that good at inovating new things. Japan aquired primitive, fuselock muskets from europeans in the late 16th century....

Re: Loroi Fancomic
I used to have fun playing Frontier in the days. There are some similarities and some huge differences between how space navigation is done in Frontier and Loroiverse. One little thing in Frontier was the concept of misjumps, this is when an intend jump end up somewhere else altogether, typically in...

Re: [Fan Fiction] Looking forward to the Mirror
Keep them coming. This is good stuff. Eventually when more of Ariochs story comes out, creating more fan stuff will be easier. Right now we just now know to little about the official story and thus much can be invalidated on shoft notice. What do we know, somewhere in chapter 2 Alex could point to a...

Re: Speculation: What can Humaniti offer the Loroi?
Our military history may bring some useful insights that the Loroi themsef may have missed. Military advisers can thus be of use bringing another point of view to the table. I also suggest an in deep cooperation with the scout corps. Accurate starmaps with jumpzones are useful. I also suggest a mode...

Re: In Loroitown
If Alex' reaction to their food is any indication, they will have very intricate knowledge of how a toilet works in short order. Imagine that the higher ups will avoid that problem by eating expensive imported food but the lower ranks and those out of favour risk being assign to food test...

In Loroitown
We have two threads, "what to send to the Loroi" and "What not to send to the Loroi". This thread however, for good or bad what they will find on their on their own if an exchange of people are done and we get a Loroi community on earth, whatever if the people there are actually Loroi or their allie...

Re: What is better not offer to Loroi
But yeah to be honest loroi always on telepathy is a huge liability in terms of space warfare. If the enemy finds a way to even just detect loroi mind broadcast, they can fairly simply pinpoint the location of Loroi colonies, battlegroups, refuelling stations and their infrastructure centers. We kn...

But they can just walk around the boss himself for that. EDIT: At least that's how I understand it. I might be blissfully missing something  There will be a security apparatus around the boss and in really sensitive cases, the boss will be someone that have been trained to mask her/his though...

Re: What are the terran military really useful for?
You can't uproot an interstellar civilization like you could a medieval one. Starships need fuel (gathering stations, refining stations, etc), weapons (factories), food and much, much more. Very little chance to gather such a fleet unless the species would know it was going to be attacked long befo...

Re: Is Outsider still an active project, or is it over?
The setting are so interesting that it could become a base for more things then just a webcomic. Printed comic books, tabletop RPG games, well, that is sort of already covered as I understand it is supposed to be playable in GURPS but manuals could be printed. A computer game maybe? "Outsider Online...
