Yeah but most guns have a good amount of recoil. My understanding was that these gyrojet gun had very little.

I love that thing, such a hilarious weapon. Though I think I recall reading about how such concepts were considered for an astronaut gun.

I was a actually interested in those things. Being able to get to get around the solar system with a drive than can pretty much be accelerating during most of the journey would be awesome.

I was worried I would have to correct some miss conceptions about the drive but I was having difficulty figuring out how to word it correctly. So I'm glad someone else did.

I dont think it matters too much if they break, because you'd never fly a spaceship by the things you can see outside of it. You would pilot the ship based on sensor data.

I think its because the Terran Military ships were mostly built for show and were never really meant for fighting anything as well armed as they are.
