If it were live-action, it'd probably work best as something along the lines used for making Sanctuary. Heavy green-screen and CGI-effects.dfacto wrote:You could animate the battles fairly easily, but nailing the character bits in 3d/2d without a skilled team would be very time consuming.
To be honest I think this would work better as live action. Cheesy "we're aliens because our faces are superficially different" costumes have worked for Star Trek, Star Wars, Farscape, Stargate, and other sci-fi productions, so there's no reason why space elves would be a deal breaker. Of course then you have to hire people and hope they can act at B movie level at least.

Yeah, this is how I imagine it too. Still need actors for animation though, lousy voice actors can be just as bad as lousy normal actors. Worse, even.Darth Cloaked Guy wrote:I imagine this rendered something like Titan AE. Heck, Alex even looks a bit like Cale (mostly the hair).
For some reason elves and live action have never struck me as anything other than cheesy. Personal bias, I guess.
Reality is nothing, perception is everything.

eeeww. dont ever do a live-action of outsider. CGI (like FF:spirit within) can be accepted, but real actor? with that much make up on the "loroi" it wouldnt feel serious enough.
