you would be surprised how much Human women wouldnt care about that point. Just think about twilight. something that supposed to be strong but is actually sucking more D*** than blood... and yet.... how the hell did that even get popular....

Am not saying it would fit the ideal of every women on earth, but if we are to say around 30-40% Human women would find Loroi male appearance pleasing, i dont thing that would be an exaggerated estimate
Twilight's success doesn't revolve around it's 'men' but rather who the female MC is a fantasy of; its whole basis is the standard fairy tail formula where the ordinary little girl is elevated to the center of romantic attention of successful men.

Change successful men, with nobles or sparklying immortal vampires who don't hurt others and you will get the idea.

I so despises vampires that "don't hurt others". Have some pride, do your job and such blood dammit! Weaklings, that should be kicked from the international vampire community they are. ;)

It does kind of defeat the whole point of being a vampire. If being superpowered and immortal has no downside, why wouldn't everyone want to join the vampire ranks?

And it spread. Skyrim have mods that take away the sundamage vampires get when going outside in the daytime. In comparison, in Neverwinter Night 2, when playing a drow I refused to take the "daylight adaption" perk and played with penalties during daytime. Still npc's was way to accepting of a drow player characters. No hostility? No problem at all? A few comments but really the only people even mildly disliking me was evil types. Sorry but for most people in the Forgotten Realms a drow is like a person in full SS uniform in Jerusalem, people will notice that and probably be less then hospitable to such a person. Well the local jail will probably be hospitable.

Few actual readers, + reading like an angsty teenage Livejournal turned into a book (disclaimer: I never managed to make it past the first page, because it seemed very steeped in this) = profit. My sisters figured that it was good that some more people had been induced to actually open a book for once.

Also, as I best recall, romance books are actually the highest-selling genre of all.

If everyone is a vampire how do you feed?

as with anything, if there a shortage in important (vital) ressources, people will fight over it.
but in twilight case, it because people dont want to be immortal depressive "emo" you want to end your life but hey! your immortal!

p.s. why oh why did i start a conversation about sparkling vampire....

At least in Anne Rise's vampire sagas the horror of what they need to do to exist and the loneliness of it all is driven home that you can indeed understand that Vampires are cursed and damned in all respects!

Daybreakers show us a world where 95% of the population have turned vampire. Let's just say that the remaining humans that are supposed to provide them with the blood to feed them have it harsh.

What exactly makes Loroi females attracted to their males?
beauty is in the eye of the beholder! maybe the smallest is most attractive? easier to protect

i say rarity. Why you want diamond?

if every stone on earth were a diamond... would you try to get those?

hi hi

When it comes to humans anyways, familiarity is much more important in determining attractiveness than uniqueness.

because they melt when exposed to bright light :D

but if there no such trend it mostly because albinos is associated with a genetic "disabling" problem. So that undesirable trait overshadow the "exotic and rarity"
