The HTML page (http://well-of-souls.com/outsider/outsider089.html) is 404, the image it would point to (http://well-of-souls.com/gallery/images/outsider089.jpg) is 404, and the Next Page button on 88 still points to the To Be Continued page. Also, the link is dated June 20th, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday morning. I'd guess a tentative update to the main page was accidentally sent live.

Yeah, sorry for the mistake. I was updating some Insider pages and accidentally uploaded a new index page when it wasn't ready.

The tech level link is broken, it links only to scales. Though I did get to it just by rational guessing http://well-of-souls.com/outsider/tech_level.html Tech level 13 is great with personal jetpacks and all.

ps: Arioch, thanks for preempting my rickroll

24 May 2011: I accidentally uploaded an unfinished index page last night; sorry for the false alarm. I will post page 89 as soon as it's done.
But... It's June...

Sorry, Arioch.

yeah saw that too. The dates on the front page are in May (does this mean that Arioch has a flux capacitor ?)

I really like the Precursor Empire page, so I'm sure 89 is going to be fun as well.

he does have one but i doubt a 92 Chevrolet sprint can reach the 80 miles per hours needed to travel into time.

well any car can, it all depends on the motor and transmission underneath ( and the Mr. fusion should fit in the back easily :P )

well major problem is under normal use the frame kind of split open so what it is at 88mph?

at 88mph, according the Back to the Future method of time travel is the speed at which the time traveling delorean must achieve for the Flux capacitor to operate and send the vehicle back (or forward) into time, give the right programing of the time circuits.

Heavy no

About the updated FTL travel page... The last item on there is about mining a jump point.

If a ship doesn't have shields, the consequences of even a ball-bearing sized piece of scrap metal in orbit hitting it are huge, assuming either the ship or the scrap is travelling at 10% the speed of light (i.e. 10% of 299792 km/s). Even an item hitting your ship at 1% of the speed of light (2997 km/s) would be... messy.

Shields aren't actually much good against chunks of matter. So even with shields it'll be pretty devastating.

Depending on the details of the story's sci-fi "science" you may be able to achieve matter "shields" using artificial gravity or inertial damping.

But I seem to vaguely recall Arioch nixing the idea for Outsider.

Well at least we know the Still-Storm has a sense of humour ( albeit I little crazy in the context of the previous pages :| )

But back to the page: Arioch ( clapping hands) well worth the wait and its going to mournful moment on page 90

second: Tempest is WOW Amazing reminds me of the last page of the prologue
