Welcome, ED!

PS. Have a peek at the (currently sleepy) fanfic threads (in the order of last posts):
writing prompts
What to do with Jardin?
The pale horse
Calm Seas
Looking forward to the mirror

I'm sure there are more, but can't be bothered to search for more right now...
You're more than welcome to add yours, please do. I'll be reading!

Yeah, as far as i'll check them - that's a good stuff! I didn't search very deep, but i'm curious... does authors of these post a external links on fics, like google docs or something? Reading walls of text of forum is not really handy for me...

I kinda put the editing of 'Looking forward to the mirror' on hold for a few months. RL stuff and being put down with the lack of updates for the comic. Started back up again and I will probably be finishing the editing 'soon' (TM)

dragoongfa (If I remember correctly, it was her/him) started doing google docs (where I don't read...), the rest is forum only....

AFAIK.

Indeed. Usually I am no fanfic reader, but the fanfic here is really catchy!
May have to do with the slow update speed, so fanfic takes ages to be contradicted by the canon-comic...

Wasn't me, I am going to convert the whole story in a PDF book.

@Krulle

Okay thanks for that I'll check them out when I have the time, and it'll be interesting for sure. I wanted to make a fanfiction based on Mass Effect and The Expanse Scifi series, which I'm sure you've heard of the Expanse?

It was an idea for an interesting first contact series with a human officer and an alien race, in any case I'll post it up when I have the chance.

Well, I've heard the names, but that's it.
I haven't read either series.

krulle: mass effect -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_Effect
and expanse -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Expanse_(TV_series) and i enjoyed the books it is based on.

on some reasonably good read, there was a former memeber around here called starfyre that wrote a decent story a tad bit over 100k word count about a human officer running into aliens, still got the files, the site they used to be hosted on is gone though.... kinda sad that i might be holding on to the only copies....

Was it Outsider fanfic?

IF yes, then please republish in a thread, or provide a link to a storage site;
(ELSE) we need permission of starfyre to republish....

Starfyre's story wasn't an Outsider fanfic, but rather something he was working on before finding Outsider that had quite a few similarities to it by chance.

Awww...

I don't know if Starfyre would agree, but since it is not outsider related, I think we should not republish without permission....

I recall having almost an epiphany when I first saw the orbots tv show. The art work and the presentation of the robots as characters. I admit that it was not unique in its ideation. However, I argue it was profound step forward for American media. It shaped how I viewed the world to a degree.

I was (and still am) a huge fan of the show. At one time I wouldn't miss the show at any cost. And yes, the show changed my outlook towards many things.
