Yet, she said 'larger'. Not 'taller'. And as a scientist/analyzer she has to know the value of preciseness in her words. Perhaps there is no distinction in Trade with these two. I hope that there isn't. Or that she meant 'larger' as in 'bulkier, more muscle mass'. And nothing else, especially given the context of that conversation where she said that.

Alex is bulkier than every Loroi he met in the story so far, even if he's not always taller (he looks more or less similar height to Stillstorm, Tempo and Fireblade if you don't count the Loroi hairdos, though perspective in the art can be deceiving), so 'larger' is IMO more fitting, than a simple 'taller'.
