Most of the various crablike species haven't evolved in the same area/ecospace and as such they haven't followed parallel evolutionary paths.

The concept of convergent evolution is a neat one, allowing one to predict how various alien lifeforms may have formed in similar circumstances with far more familiar lifeforms. The possibility of sapient aliens also being 'humanlike' in their body builds should not be discounted either; our evolutionary niche has been a successful one and as far as we know we are the only Terrestrial lifeform that has managed to attain sapience in the few billion years that Earth has supported life.
