Ok. Question: What is the nature of the Outsider stardrive that is commonly being used? Is is a warp drive where ships can move many times the speed of light or is is a jump drive / hyper drive where the ship enters a subspace state or pocket strata of the ether to travel vast distances over a relatively short period of time?

Whats it supposed to be?

Digest for the forums:
Point to point requiring gravity wells, so it tends to be star to star. Accuracy (and therefore safety) limit the range based on the stars in question. On the small scale not much accuracy so incoming fleets will be scattered (and thus jumping into a defended system can be dangerous to say the least).
