IIRC we´re not going to see them soon, as Arioch stated.

Rather thorough for the Umiak to have given their infiltrator false memories/personality in spite of him being immune to Loroi mind reading :P

Given the pace of the story and updates, that may very well be true... xP (and the ultras might still be far in the back, but I jest).

I've played it on all difficulty levels and they behave differently every time I play the mission. It doesn't seem to matter what level I play at, the Eldar either cower in the corner or go rushing into the Chaos base and get their heads handed to them -- nothing in between. It must be some random aggression factor in the game setup generator. Stupid, but there you have it.

I still think the Umiak are pussyfooting around because they want what's left of the Bell and are hoping to talk the Loroi out of it.

It's been mentioned the Umiak are trying to build up a sufficiently large fleet to steamroll the Loroi... Maybe it finally happened.

10 superheavies??? The Loroi are fukked.

I don't think the Loroi are going to get screwed over by just ten super heavies. Remember that for them that a small understrength raiding party is 28 vessels. The Loroi had two other task groups operating in the system. So the Loroi consider 100+ starships a skirmish formation.

When you have major fleet battles that involve thousands of warships, ten super heavies don't make that much a difference on the whole. Ten Ultraheavies OTOH...

The current strength of SG 51 is as follows:

12 Warhammer class Destroyers (Org. 13 Thunderbolt lost in action)
8 Scimitar class Heavy Cruisers
3 Rapier class Escort Cruisers (Org. 4 Winter Tide lost in action)
1 Katana class War Cruiser
1 Vanguard class Battlecruiser
1 Vortex class Group Command Ship

Currently, the Umiak have:

~200 Gunboats (based on an average of 4 Gunboats per Heavy/Superheavy vessel)
~90 Destroyers (approximate count of perimeter vessels)
48 Medium vessels
42 Heavy vessels
10 Superheavy vessels

Certainly this is more than enough strength to wipe out Stillstorm's force, but I doubt it's a major threat to the Loroi defensive positions. It is a potentially serious threat, one the Loroi will have to deal with quickly, but it's not a game-winning move.

being outnumbered at least 4 to 1 in proper ships, and more in weight of metal(since if you add gunboats it's closer to 10 to 1 and those super heavies are MASSIVE, heck in tonnage those ten super heavies might match all of the 26 ships in the loroi fleet.) is not a good situation, heck I'd go so far a to say it would be a VERY bad day at work.

bottom line, 'tis about time to start pulling rabbits out of hats, negotiated withdrawal is sounding like a better idea imho, although a shoot'n'run would also work....but getting out of dodge seems to be the order of the day.

The thing to remember is that the Loroi are very difficult for the Umiak to take on in any numbers unless they can pin the Loroi down. If the Loroi decimate the Bell and the Umiak can't force the Loroi to hold that position they can't really force the Loroi into weapons range, other than to last for so many jousts that the Loroi run out of gas before the Umiak. The Umiak will be taking the full brunt of a joust and the Loroi will get away with (usually) a glancing blow due to the acceleration and weapons range differences. I would surmise by the Umiak commander actually talking that they likely can only win an engagement if the Loroi hold their ground. By the Umiak's logic they didn't need the passby to know it was an object of interest to the Loroi, they were trying to test the Loroi's defenses and determine if they could dislodge them (knowing that pre-probe fleet attack the Umiak were risking the Loroi blowing up their precious unknown object of interest). The flyby could perhaps have been a test of how important it was so as to note if it was worth the whole fleet trying to acquire with more force, but clearly all that changed was the Umiak's valuation of the wreckage and hence how much more military power they might be willing to risk to attain it. I still feel like maybe the Umiak fleet is running low on fuel so some degree of bluffing is in order.
