When even the thing we tough were Overwhelming large are actually tiny... it kind of scary.

It's Flash, so if you're on an iPad or something that doesn't support Flash, that might do it.

wow, that app reminds me a film I once saw in school, went form a single drop of water, out to the universe and then close into the smaller bit of matter known.

but this one I like better, more interactive

I remember using the original version of this thing for an astronomy lecture about a year ago. The large objects start making little sense as they are unfathomably large. I really enjoy the small objects because it gives us perspective on how small we really are as beings in this nearly incomprehensible universe.
OUTSIDER UPDATE => HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED?

I always love seeing these things come up. It puts things into perspective. We're tiny... but we're huge at the same time.

Then we get fun stuff that plays with the idea like This old thing =P
