It is truly remarkable what one can achieve through the power of imagination and a little perseverance. Kudos to all for the awesome links to browse through.

well trashman, I'll start small, and grow up in size and complexity. say . . .

Arrow first, the Bell next, a Warhammer Destroyer, maybe a Winter tide CLE Tempest and them Cry of the Wind.

build up in size and complexity ( beside I'm going to need ALOT of green and light grey pieces. Better get to brick link and start :D

Very nice Link to all the models. man I've got expectation to live up to now  but its a challenge so let's get on with it  .

Don't forget the massive amount of engineering LEGO put into designing all those pieces. None of what LEGO fans have created would be possible except for the extreme amount of design and ingenuity that went into the design and creation of each block and how they would interact.

Oh Yes! 70ies color-style. Vintage SciFi. (Funny Oxymoron BTW)

Every age/generation has it´s unique color-pattern.

Good luck on the large scale models- make sure you post progress pics!

Me, small scale is the way to go for now. A larger Tempest (say 12-18" ) would be cool to do later. When it comes to that size, these kind of pieces will make it work beautifully, at least as far as the forward prongs go: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41748.

Also, I did not realize the Rapier class was nearly the same size as the destroyer class- this makes my mix of design elements in the larger mini-scale versions a bit more plausible i think.
I'm currently away from my legos for the weekend, but this coming week I'll rebuild one of my earlier designs and modify it again- should be very close to the final.

And man, those green curve pieces are rare- there's far more of those in lime, believe it or not. :P

@Trantor

I know, just look back throught a gundam site and (face slap) your right

@ shrakner

yeah it going to be difficult to get the right elements for even the little arrow, as well the curves will be a challenage, but I like a building challenage. :geek:

first step it see what I have right now, then to think about how to get teh basic shape down.

care to give any pointers ( open to everyone as well :p)

hi hi

That LEGO Yamato is pretty impressive, but can it withstand a direct hit from a 20mm super bouncy ball?

hey all,

I mentioned in a previous post that I was working on a lego Arrow interceptor, well I'm working on the prototype but I'm having a problem, the model is about 35% complete and I want to show of the WIP. but I've having trouble posting up the images since the Forum post uses the web images ( and I'm building a physical model out of my lego stocks)

can anyone help me with this ?

There are a number of free online image hosts (google "image web host"), but if you don't want to deal with that and just have a few images you'd like to show, you can email them to me and I'll post them for you.

The email address listed on the site will do.

Doesn't matter what size or format they are, as long as they're not too big to be emailed.
