This put a huge smile on my face. I guess it's about a year old, but I hadn't seen it before.

For those who aren't familiar with the TTA books, they were collections of science fiction cover art from the 70's (mainly by Chris Foss and Peter Elson) with fictional backgrounds attached to the various ships depicted. The video linked above is essentially 3DCGI animated recreations of the individual illustrations.
I loved this book as a kid, and the style of illustration in them was also important in the visual inspiration for the Homeworld games.

Very Cool Arioch! They remind me of the conceptual spaceship art that appeared on Omni Magazines back int he 70's.
My childhood scifi books were E.E."Doc" Smith's - Skylark of Space: Series; Lensman: Series, Family D'Alembert Series, and just about anything else the "Doc" wrote!
Great Space Opera!

WOW
this was before my time but I can see a lot of the Aliens, homeworld and Terminator ships designs being inspired but those covers and art work.

Well that brought a tear to my eye!
very nice, although their depiction of the Proximan Goblin was a little bit off in my opinion, but the cutlass was spot on!

hi hi
I actually only just recently heard of the Terran Trade Authority books myself, and I was super bummed that my local library didn't have them on hand.
Some other nice pictures from TTA
