You can see when people joined right under their screen name on any post they make. : )

This is actually the second version of the forums. The first one was under a system called "Digital Webbing" which is no longer functional. Fredgiblet was kind enough to preserve much of the content of those old forums, which are currently available in the Insider under the "Forum Quotations Compilations."

The current forums were created in March of 2011.

I have been "here," officially, since Oct 31 2001. ;)

I myself started reading Outsider around the same time page 101 was released. I binged on it, and've been reading ever since.

As to my Forum-joining date, well... see to your left. :p

hi hi

I can't remember what year exactly I started reading Outsider. But I remember people on the forums being excited that the Tempest's bridge model was nearing completion.

Near the beginning of Chapter 2 if I remember correctly. So jarring to go from page to page only for the hard stop and the LONG wait.

I'm not sure, page 38 seems to feel like the first time I was kept in anticipation of what the plot would reveal but I am not entirely sure.

I joined the old forum in either the prologue or chapter 1, but I don't remember which and it probably can't be checked on anymore. As for this version, Sep 2011.

Around the same time as my forum join date. I stumbled into Outsider from a 'Humanity Fuck Yeah' thread in one of the chans. I was starving for a good sci-fi story and Outsider has kept me interested since then.

I didn't join the forums until *years* after I started reading the comics.

I was a huge fan of MoO II and was always disappointed how little fan work was done around it (which was unsurprising, given the year it came out and lack of big internet communities). Tvtropes sent me over here and my mind was utterly blown. To me, Arioch perfectly captured the essence of the Elerians in a much more enjoyable format than the original.

I first found Outsider through Arioch's Homeworld Shipyards site way back around page 50 in chapter one. I followed the link to the well of souls and then I found a fantastic comic. I didn't join till a while later because I preferred to lurk

I can still remember the long wait for the battle scene, and pouring over the details of every ship.

Also at the time I was playing through both Homeworld games and I just never got around to it.

My literacy is cringe-fest... Apologies for what you're about to read.

I remember this comic existing while I was still in the military. So pre-2004 or so? Didn't join the old forums right away though as I tend to lurk more than I post.

I got here sometime before 2004 because of a link from a RelicNews post. Met a lot of people back then who've been pretty important to my life since, and had a lot of discussions that've shaped my tastes since.
Atomic Space Race, a hard sci-fi orbital mechanics puzzle game.
Homeworld Fulcrum, a Homeworld Remastered Mod

Fall of 2004. Been a long time... I remember the "weird thread that just won't die" from the digital webbing forum we use to use. And the legit rps that we did.

I don't even know how I found outsider ;)

I's a question I ask myself: How to advertise stuff, maybe using AdWords or Facebook. But since outsider right now updates irregulary, it wouldn't really make sense to advertise it.

Outsider was up to page 34 was when I first stumbled over the website... I've been coming back ever since! I remember quite distinctively re-reading the comic plus all the insider material some time in 2005/06 while listening to Kaiser Chiefs' album "Employment" on CD. So now every time I hear their music, I always think about Outsider.

It's actually really scary to think how long ago that was. I joined the forum in 2012, and I was briefly active for a bit during a sabbatical-ish kind of year during my Uni days. Though I don't really post here anymore... Maybe that will change?
