Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)

On the ship: Bunch of professional soldiers, overseen by other professional security officers, overseen by the Queen Bitch of the Steppes. On the shuttle: An unknown entity who is perhaps the greatest threat the Empire has ever faced. There is literally no argument for having her stay on Tempest tha...

Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)

Some of you seem to be making a big deal of Fireblade being there, but there's literally nowhere else she should be. She's a footsoldier on a spaceship; she's basically dead weight. Alex represents the biggest threat possible on that ship, and he will be sent off on a shuttle with a high level offic...

Re: An idea on how to accelerate the creation of this comics

How does it trigger discontinuity? Just don't spend so much time doing perfect inking and coloring and it will go faster. Going full digital is an option, but a painful one that would require a psychotic amount of modelling work. Want a new costume? Time to start a new model from scratch! As for end...

Re: An idea on how to accelerate the creation of this comics

Honestly, just drop the quality down. I can understand the urge to make everything as good as possible, but the main focus is the story, not the art quality, and rendering everything is what's slowing you down the most I suspect. Better to progress and then do cleanup later for print rather than kil...

Hate to perv it up, but I'm betting that when the Loroi discover a "personal back massager" in the wreckage they'll know exactly what it's for.

Or because the unaccounted for crew-members are also onboard and they want them to think they're alone to see if they're lying Umiak constructs.

Either those booms are attached to a space harbor, or those booms are part of a space carrier. I'd say the former is far more likely, as a space carrier that size would be very impressive.

K then. You send your human sentimental army at me and I'll send my drone fleet. I'll accelerate to 20 g and so will you. Your entire crew compliment will turn to paste. Re: Page 90

Here's a simple method to understand why causality is critical. 2H2 + O2 = 2H2O + Energy That there is a chemical equation. It shows that when you add two hydrogen molecules (not atoms, molecules) and a molecule of oxygen, the result is two water molecules and energy. The left side of the equation ...

Re: Page 90

With causality broken, effects can precede causes and causes can happen without effect. Pick up a can of coke. It's empty now because you were having been going to drink it. But you haven't yet. Yet it's empty. Look up in the sky. The sun turned into a red giant. Why? It exhausted its nuclear fuel ...

Re: Page 90

That's a paradox. The universe doesn't like paradoxes. It's allergic to them. Trust me on this, the universe and I are on pretty good terms with each other. Usually. This is what interests me though. Is there proof? Does it even matter? Would things just get totally off the wall crazy, but not actu...

Re: Page 90

Yes, FTL leads to apparent causality violations. Google it, there's lots of discussion on it. What I want to know is if that even matter? Perhaps causality violations aren't actually relevant at all, as time and its perception may only be relevant to us and our biology. Or maybe causality violations...

I think we can safely assume that interstellar signal detection is a non-issue in this story (as in, it doesn't exist) or else humans would have known about the rest of the factions long ago.
