Re: O'Neill colony's and generation ships
If we could get at least 0.1 of speed of light, then the worlds in 10 light years radius could be colonized after a one or two generations long ride (100 years - i'm not counting for accelerating and slowing, wich would probably make the trip longer). A ship need to have a colonist crew at least 50 ...

Re: Loroi sexuality
Yes, reading back over myself it is pretty naive to expect such a strong relationship with the Loroi to develop. While it would be my hope that our similarities would bring us closer together, that would require a lot of trust on the part of both parties, which I think neither are prepared to give....

Re: O'Neill colony's and generation ships
I hope I didn't doubled some topic. I looked through Insider files of Terran six worlds. How they were settled? I know that Mars was inhabited before FTL was invented (it's a guess). Do the one or more extrasolar colonys was "conquered" by a generation ship? Were some incidents along the road (like...

Re: Stalin
Vlad the impaler. The author of Dracula made a mistake and called him a count. But term "Wojewoda" in ancient slavic meant "army commander" or "warlord" (literally "one who leads warriors"). Sorry guys - my nerd sense kicked in.

But what about monkeys and delphins?Jericho wrote:Humans are resistant to telepathyMali wrote:Omscient? Really? So they should have known real size and colony count of the umiak state. Heck, they would have known about humanity long before they even rejoined the splinter colonys!.

Point taken.

Re: Loroi sexuality
Actually, are we sure that loroi are mammals? They are aliens created mystery godrace, so their tits may be jiggly funbags only to humour their masters with no other purpose or even somekind of spore spreaders. First: Mammals are usually classified as creatures that give birth to live young...

Re: RP
I have this crazy idea for boardgame/tabletop survival. Basicly every player gets one loroi ship with a ship sheet with statistics, resource and crew count. Every turn a randomized umiak fleet jumps into the battlefield gradualy swarming the place. The players must kill as many umiak as they can, ju...

Stalin holds the title of the bigest murderer of the XX cent. He got out of this nicely, because in the mi...

And I thought that historians are darloks with creative (and those popsilosomething are trilarians with creative). My question (I'm new here, so i didn't read much of the forum yet): Were youre elerians custom prepared? I thought to myself, that if loroi were in Moo2, they probably get: +warlord +te...

Re: Loroi sexuality
What is interesting to ponder is the effect of introducing so many males (albeit slightly alien) to a society in which access to males is a privilege. Imagine what would go through at least some Loroi minds: "OK, so there are these hot alien males who are obviously interested in sex as much as we a...
