Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)
I wish I had the authority to declare this snu-snu meme dead... I am however keen on seeing what the Loroi reaction to human military eating habits is. Alex: this is really good, I just wish it was more filling. Beyrl: ...is your... rapid consumption typical of your species? Fireblade: <he eats like...

Oh, I just remembered this; one of my favorites. " Life is too short, "The art long, "Opportunity fleeting, "Experiment fallible, "Judgment difficult. "We will remember you." Or perhaps, " Sit tibi terra levis ", 'May the earth rest lightly upon you' . Captain Jardin seems to be knowledgeable enough...

Re: Page 89
Yes, The Pale Blue Dot! From a pale blue dot, you came to the stars seeking peace. You found instead an instant of loss and war, though you were no strangers to it; humanity never has been. Those left behind will remember you, like we have those lost before you. I give my word that you, the crew of ...

Re: Outsider Wargaming - Polar Projections and Orbital Maneu
Ah, wow, that just about broke my brain, and I enjoy this kind of thing. But yeah, having written more of it out, the flat/2d version of the rules seem like they should work just fine for a tabletop game, though there's still that problem with being able "wall off" areas of space with a line o...

Re: Page 89
The problem is that those ball bearings have no method of station keeping and thus will orbit the star just like any other object and will move out of position, the jump zones are fixed in relation to other stars and do not move. You would have to continuously replace your "minefield" as the previo...

Interdiction will always be more resource-efficient than fortification when expanding volumes of space are involved.

Outsider Wargaming - Polar Projections and Orbital Maneuvers
Before we get to the meat of the problem, a little introduction is in order. I've been a long-time fan of Outsider and have watched it go from intriguing prologue to the salivating brain-tease it is now. I'm into a lot of things, one of these is wargaming, aka little models with spreadsheets, rulers...

Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)
It should be possible for a Farseer to detect a hugely amplified signal, but then you have the problem of shattering the telepathic "eardrums" of every Loroi near to the transmission -- including the transmitter herself. I wonder what affect such a device would have upon a human? Alex: hi hi hi! it...
