Are those 3d backgrounds? They still look handpainted.

Should Loroi say

I'm all left

instead?

Another comics trying to be more hard SciFi shows Curi point radiators. I would also like to take this opportunity to advertise the comic - Leaving the Cradle. But if you don't want spoilers on that story, don't read further. https://leavingthecradle.com/assets/images/comics/202606111230533652781/v0...

I don't remember, maybe this issue was discussed? I suddenly thought: Why did Loroi tyied to feed Alex with Loroi food if they had salvaged human rations?

I don't think many of us could feel sorry for the loss of Umiaks under such conditions.

What background would that be? Other than the generic Loroi? Can you provide a link?

the males have been traditionally protected.

So yes, she is traditionally protecting male. The most female loroi thing to do.

Given Beryl's cultural background, it was a classic damsel in distress rescue for her, with Alex being the damsel.

It's funny how beam from third frame continues into hand on second frame.

Sun affects tides too.

melor "ghost, zombie" (speaking of the dead in an esoteric manner)

Uh, I somehow though Loroi didn't have a concept of such fictional creatures.

Why bother with minefields then, just use drones ambush directly. Drone sitting idle in grass, when enemy approach, it lifts up and attack target.

Drone ambush already exists, but with manual control. Also exists drones with target lock, that can guide itself into target automatically.

The last update was on April 1 — page 274 on Patreon (non-colored). No more updates after that.

So, you want Duke Nukem instead of Alex?

I'm your worst nightmare; you uninvited alien scum sucker and right now you're all that stands between me and a planet full of babes. So get ready to bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.

(Duke to Kikitik)

There is lots of free ai generator there.
Just open website, type some keywords, look at result, rinse and repeat:

From Umiac Insider page:

the forward pair of legs can also be used to strike (in the manner of a rearing horse)

Looks like this one do exactly that.

I really doubt anything can be ejected from ship during jump. As description says "The jump is nearly instantaneous, so there is not much you can do while in hyperspace."
In that context "nearly" likely meaning interval only atomic clock can measure.

How do the Loroi (and by extension) the other races create gravity for their ships?

Onboard artificial gravity generators.

TIL there is such thing as induced ovulation. Cats for example. Seems like Loroi have exactly that mechanic.

There's no reason why you couldn't use an Arleigh Burke to move grain from Odessa to Port Durban. But, while the ship is physically capable of moving some grain, decisions made in designing the Arleigh Burkes mean it will never carry out that role as well as a bulk carrier. Russia uses landing ship...

Probably it's just kind of translation convention?
