Re: [Fan Fiction] Tunguska

Not hokey at all! Sometimes, allusions are far better than a description, letting the reader fill in the missing description with what their brain can picture. I look forward to more of this... and can only hope the stuff I am doing with another SciFi universe holds up to this. If interested, I can ...

Interesting developments.... I look forward to seeing more and to how the Human warships deal with the Shells.

Re: [Fan Fiction] Tunguska

More filler pieces or stories of Tempo's adventures on Terra.

Its flavoring and can help make the rest of the story more interesting and enhance its telling.

Re: [Fan Fiction] Tunguska

I wanna say, I am enjoying this writing exercise of yours. Stellar stuff and a nice change of pace. IT doesn't need to be a graphic novel; you paint a good picture with words and I can picture the people and such around them.

Re: [Fan Fiction] Notes and discussion for "A sword that wields itself"

war of annihilation.... well, we sorta knew it was. The why you give is a strong reason. I really hope the TErrans have some decent fire power- the Bugs will try to hunt it down for sure.

Re: [Fan Fiction] Spelf Football

Well... The informal/formal of the marines is fine. Espirit de Corp is kinda universal. This is a cool as hell story... and really ties the Human outside the box thinking in. I'd like to see more with this cast of characters. Fun stuff. Tech oddities are hand wavium and don't detract from the coolne...

Re: Writing Prompts

You know, since the Gunboat idea is being implemented in Beacons, this makes me wonder how the Tenoin are going to react when they learn Jardin was the one who convinced them of the idea. I imagine Talon and Spiral might be very angry when they learn it was his idea. Depends on how successful the c...

Re: Writing Prompts

In the end I concluded that the duel would best be served with Tempo being the POV character instead of Fireblade. Now as to Shortleaf, her body is bruised beyong recognition, her nose broken and she left her hair onto the sand alongside her blood but punishment is not over yet. Having fought with ...

Re: Writing Prompts

Some necessary character development/exploration for Fireblade who years ago learned the hard way why old warriors are to be feared, even if they look decrepit. They are old because they survived for a reason. EDIT: I had also planned for this part to also include the 'duel' but I haven't really pi...

Btw. I was a bit disappointed by the Master of Orion remake, any of you played that?
I have. And I am not happy about the game either. The original MOO is tough but one *can* win. The remake.... I don't see how. AI is far too.... robust and efficient.... even on Easy.

ECS-103 When the Brasilia 's contact report came through, Nema nodded to herself as her Bridge Crew acted like the well oiled machine it was as she gave commands. "Navigation and Tactical, plot a skirting arc. Plan for agile combatants- Engagement Plan Delta Two... As fast as we've gotten, we know ...

Re: Writing Prompts

I can look at my notes and see what I thought would happen next and then write something with that. The problem is that I have been having a bad case of writers block these past few months. Maybe forcing myself to sit down and write will fix that (again). I know this feeling, my friend. Sometimes r...

New Beacons: In this small installment Talon and Spiral meet up some old comrades and given a new toy to play with, with the accompanying responsibilities. Good read, sir. I wonder what Talon names her ship. I've a few ideas... and given some of the tendencies you guys collectively gave her, I susp...

Re: FanFiction notes for "Door Keepers"

my apologies for the long delay in continuance. Between writing block, projects in other hobbies, plans for a wedding.... and work stress (front lines of this pandemic as part of Emergency Medical Services), life has been rough. But I felt the need to put some more writing out there. For those wonde...
