Holding the entire Loroi species responsible for the actions of a single commander, and in particular holding a grudge against those Loroi who are obviously trying to help you, seems to me to be worse than wrong-headed.

It sounds like people are expecting humanity to be the hero of the story, rather than Alex. Maybe that makes sense in that Alex doesn't do much in the first chapter, and that we don't learn much about him as an individual person. So maybe people just see him as a proxy for humanity, and not a hero i...
