Re: WIP Discussion (Part 1!)

The first issue of course is that of the artist. In a comic, I think characters should be visually appealing. This rule applies equally to the humans, Loroi, their allies and even the Umiak. I can't describe how pleased I was when my sister (also an artist) expressed to me that she thought Mozin was...

Re: Geiger counter?

That tone is pretty mild for Mjolnir. While it could perhaps have been more politely stated, his post was factual and was not attacking. What I was trying to say in a more polite way was essentially the same thing he said in much more detail: the image you posted is pretty obviously inaccurate. It w...

I don't think winds are quite that predictable.

Re: Historian Wright: Space Attorney (game)

Well actually Arioch i dont consider it to really be Outsider verse. Neither is the discussion about the Messenger probe, but anything that was appropriate for the old forum (SF, science, art/writing/craft) is fine for this one. We don't have enough activity at the moment to require more than one c...

Re: Historian Wright: Space Attorney (game)

Let's keep this stuff in the Outsider forum (unless it's reeeeeeally off topic) so people don't have to go hunting for posts.

Yeah, it's already crossing Uranus orbit. Hard to believe half the 9-year mission is already gone... how time flies...

Re: Planetary Invasion/Defense

The problem with this kind of Guadalcanal-style scenario in a planetary invasion is that there isn't really anywhere to hide on the surface of a planet from orbital fleets that can annihilate pretty much any surface forces. So the only real option is to go underground (literally) and fight a guerril...

The Work in Progress Thread (Spoiler Warning)

This is the thread where I post works in progress of page panels, character designs, and various Outsider-related images of the moment. To keep the thread uncluttered, I'll keep it locked. If you want to discuss items or ask questions, feel free to create separate threads (and link in the images as ...

This is a forum feature. It can be disabled within your user control panel in Board Preferences/Edit Display Options/Enable word censoring.

Re: Test Forums

JPEG is not very efficient for small images like avatars.

I was able to remove the "new user" status from everyone, so hopefully you shouldn't need your posts approved anymore.

but i would like to know if you have any choices in the Avatar limitation, because 6kb for an avatar.... i got one that blue and white and even at minimum quality still at 24kb That quite limitative. Yes, I can set an explicit limit on the file size of the avatar. The idea behind the limit is, of c...

Re: Awww

I gotcha. Last time I made a forum, I kind of went crazy with folders and subfolders and it ended up being really confusing. I say keep it simple, unless something comes up that's big enough to merit it's own board. Yes, that's definitely something I won't be doing. It's silly to have to hunt acros...

Re: Awww

Not necessarily. This is just a placeholder, really. Posts about science fiction and technology in general have always been appropriate for the Outsider forum, and I think that should continue. But I do think it would be nice to have other categories to post, say, information about other projects an...

This is why your tests posts are helpful... there are a lot of features on by default and it's not always clear what they do.

This new-user limitation should now be disabled.
