Sergeant might be better....

Re: RP
excellent..... I can see some fun here... I imagine knowing human men are bigger, and combatants and actually coming face to face with a male combat marine should be an interesting situation

Hey, just popping in to ask, if there would be room for a Human security trooper, not actually an officer, but a regular marine type crewman in this game.

Re: Insider, Updates
so what would be the upper limit ( or would their be one) 200's, 250's still storm has been at war for over 25 years and she still going strong ( i think) That's a scary thought, considering that a typical human with only a few years of combat experience tends to be a formidable opponent. a race wh...

Re: Loroi sexuality
dragoon: cloning? artificial insemination? we are talking about a species that has to impose STRICT regulation to limit reproduction, population is not a problem, nor is re-population. shorter gestation time(probably), faster to mature to reproductive age(8 instead of 15 years), with a 10:1 ratio i...

Re: Loroi sexuality
Okay since males are fairly limited and I imagine casualties are pretty heavy in a total war. Do the Loroi make use of artificial insemination/cloning ??...seems like a fairly natural development given their need for rapid reproduction and limited number of men to go around.

Re: Loroi sexuality
A Lot of our taboos are based around our biology, and the fact we have a fairly even male to female ratio. In a culture where there are one per ten males, monogamy, exclusive relationships,a and taboos on non-marital sexual relations are ... well impractical. When you have a large imbalance a societ...

Re: Size of 'empires'
I would, and use for my mental mapping of world i create, imagine that most colonies exist as a source of resources, and a dump for excess population, for the core planets. This has been the case in most historical Empires. If the colony was a resource producing world Its Demands are probably far le...

Re: Outsider Ground War
Even in real space lasers lose intensity pretty fast, and have poor armor penetration, so they seem to be mostly useful for point defense or to damage external systems. which is how I reasoned it out. Big ship killing lasers are possible in therory but ships cant fit the systems and power supplies ...

Re: Outsider Ground War
@Dragoon: How fast you can turn depends on the ship's mass and maneuvering thrusters. Or where you mount the thrusters. Or you move smaller thrusters further away from the center of gravity on projections or wings. smaller thrusters with more leverage work as well as really big thrusters How accura...
