Salient point, how Spiral is saying that with her eyes closed is like she is saying a mantra to keep HERSELF calm.

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
That high body heat has a function, and while it is ineffective in and of itself to produce that heat, it causes faster, and often moderately more efferent chemical reactions in other places in the cells. The Loroi lower body heat might not really be all that much of an advantage in many cases.

Re: Happy Halloween
Well, many sexual actuators are specifically NOT functional or over blown, such as a peacock tail. Human mammaries are just that, in other primates they never get that big, its a female cock comb for humans. That they are warriors would in theory limit the effect, but their 10-1 female/male birth ra...

Re: Happy Halloween
How would we know that, she has only been seen in armor. We have never seen her "off duty" in casual clothing. Correct, still that has limits, and if you have not noticed, none of the Loroi have been large breasted. Odds are its a racial trait, and likely in part because Arioch seams to draw things...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
While its possible that their biochemistry is very different, that does not mean that the Soia-Liron would have something analog to DNA but different, or conversely even that it was that the biochemistry between the two could not be consumed by one another. The nutrition content would go down for su...

Honestly, at their tech level their plumbing should be short and nearly self contained at each unit with an extra sterilization unit for Alien units just to be safe. The processed based material then being collected for reuse.

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
Well a hidden Umiak ship would be motivated to prevent a strange ship hailing the Loroi and tipping their hand and letting the Loroi knowing they were there, even if they were planning on showing themselves soon, never tip you hand too soon.

Re: How can the Loroi win?
Producing PUE (Post Uranium Elements) in mass would be HIGHLY energy expensive, but if you could get into range of the island of stability the properties of some of these elements could be truly unique. Needless to say this level of precision and power production are well beyond our means at this ti...

Honestly, the whole thing DOES have an air of some from of censorship ritual. That doesn't mean that it is, but that one could conceive of the possibility.

Re: How can the Loroi win?
"Talker" is most certainly a blowhard, even if his race in general isn't, that one is.Kikitik-27 seemed to be quite sure about their own position in the war, and I don't think Umiak are ones for false bravado or empty bluster.

Re: How can the Loroi win?
Yes, the whole idea that the Loroi might loose is predicated on the idea that the Loroi haven't been building their own reserves for a while, as well as the idea that the Umiak are not completely over extended and this isn't just a victory push, but a desperation push.

High levels of pattern recognition used for predictions of future actions your adversaries might be useful. Something that comes with facial and body reading parts of our brains... due to not being telepathic and having to read peoples minds indirectly.

Re: How can the Loroi win?
hmm, that is an intersting point, but I would also like to point out that the Umiak have just found a way around the Farcaster net, this would be a good impetus to change tactics suddenly.

Re: How can the Loroi win?
Clearly the Umiak played a stalling game building a hammer force over a long time. But that means if it doesn't work, or it flunders, then the Umiak would be VERY hurting and the Loroi COULD have a significant advantage after. There are real life examples of this, I could go through them if needed. ...
