Interesting switch-up between the rough cut and this final... In the rough post on Patreon Alex looks hesitant and careful in addressing Reed, but here he seems more satisfied. It's cool to sort of see how the artist operates.

Re: Page 161: It is called a Diral-Seii
I expect shaking Alex's hand might be considered a somewhat intimate act... not fully sexual.. but like humans might consider a hug from a complete stranger..a little personal and intimate. Since Loroi are touch telepaths.. a handshake might have a more poignant meaning to them even though not to u...

Re: Page 159: Bedroom Eyes
I wonder if Tempo *does* have nefarious plans for Alex, and that is what the Historian AI was on about. Maybe we're about to see Tempo attempt to harm or kill Alex and Fireblade stepping in for reasons that will unfold later - perhaps related to her PTSD and whatever connection she has made to Alex....

Re: Page 159: Bedroom Eyes
...there's the fact that the Loroi see their males as somewhat child like in their mental maturity... Is that an established fact? Tempo has had a couple of intensive conversations with Alex revolving around war, politics, and touching on philosophy. I have great doubt that she would see him as a s...

Re: Page 158 : All Fire and Green eyes
I mean, the story is laid out in Arioch's mind (and hopefully files/paper), and unless he falls completely into this board's fan service, I'm staying with him.. but I'll be sorely disappointed if Fireblade ends up being Alex's foil/nemesis. I'm hoping in the end she becomes his protector or has his ...

Just a note, Arioch, that you have a repeated word in the Biology section of the Nissek entry in "Races of the Loroi Alliance":

Even if the Historian construct is just a chinese room, I would wager that the alien icon and the terminology were things that already existed in messages between crew members.

Re: Page 157: "This is not MY datapad!"
I wonder if part of Beryl's skeptical look in panel three is due to the compact nature of the device, given humanity's apparent advanced level of data processing. (Given the nature of a deep space expedition with a crew working for extended periods in isolation, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd al...

Re: Page 157: "This is not MY datapad!"
Historians ability to read and write to inactive data storage means they can read/write organic data storage as well, possibly even easier considering the level of force required to rewrite physical data sources like a modern SSD compared to the human brain. Is this / would this be true? If so, the...

Re: Page 156: Dun... dun... DUUUUUUN
hi hi Given the broader history we know of out-of-comic, and the difference between the way the historian treats Alex here and how it treated the Loroi on the bridge, this strikes me as much more likely an attempt to sabotage relations between humanity and the Loroi than any earnest attempt to prot...

Re: Miscellaneous Loroi question-and-answer thread
In page 57, the Historian Construct says something that always made me curious: Unseemly though it is to appear before you in such a meager form, our Loroi hosts are unwilling to permit access to any more resource than this. We must adapt. Surely your excellency will allow for this circumstance and...

Re: How do you feel about page buffers?
I can only say, anecdotally, that the few people I've introduced to Outsider, shortly after I "found" it, have not visited in years, even when I told them there were updates. Their comments are noncomittal and the long hiatuses turned them completely off to it. To each their own, I suppose, but I ca...

Re: How do you feel about page buffers?
(Dilbert, Garfield [...]) Heh, Dilbert will end (according to the words of its author) exactly the same way that Peanuts ended: A few days before Scott Adams will venture into the great beyond. As for Garfield, I presume not even the death of Jim Davis will be able to end it. Cats and their 9 lives...

Re: Page 148 - responsible radio silence
Arioch,
When I click on "Next" on page 148, it's taking me to the TBC page with the merloroi circling, instead of 149. Is that a cache issue (I've tried resetting/refreshing) or just an oversight on your part?

And/Or, you know, maybe most Lorois (is plural with an "s"?), like most humans, aren't evil.
