Seems like you nailed it. She does look least excited of them.

Alex: "Can we go without the Redhaired one?"

Edit: So hectic with roleplay that no-one-else noticed update in Work-In-Process?

I'm getting the impression that he's complaining about a lack of a space suit, or going "well what do you expect..." response while pointing to the Loroi behind him. Or Beryl teasing Alex by the percieved interest in Fireblade (based on one of Arioch posts about the elevator incident and her perspective of Alex's stumbliong towards her) and he is essentially shooting that right down.

It's the cocky smirk on beryls part that gives me this impression.

Looks more mildly and pleasantly impressed than cocky to me.

Alex in deep and husky voice "Lets ditch those losers and go somewhere nice place just two of us."
Beryl "Why do you speak like Barsam?"
Alex .o( Note for myself. Don't let Barsams go near my girlfriend. )

Well, his escort this time is a bit more heavily armed and armoured, so he could be asking about that.

*Alex pointing towards his escort: "How many will come along on the ride?"
Beryl: "Do not worry, captain. The shuttle can hold a multiple of the people you see."

That's my take.

It might seem like an odd thing to complement, but, as someone who struggles when trying to draw interesting hand-poses, Beryl's hand is drawn really well in the latest WIP update.

Everyone struggles with hands, it's just practice really. Urgh! I remember all the hand studies I did.... Interestingly renaissance giants like Michelangelo, would have their understudies/art schools paint the vast majority of their frescos, but would reserve for themselves the task of painting the faces, hands, feet, and any other prominent and major features.

Hands are very difficult, and a particular nemesis of mine, so the compliment is very much appreciated.

As with many things art, the key is in looking at references.

Nice!

I like the Highland, but I get the feeling Alex isn't gonna be able to poke around too much...unless that innocuous "crawlspace access" label is more meaningful than expected.

Seat pitch slightly above 1m - that´s economy plus. Well, and here i thought it´ll be business class at least.
Seatguru.com surely would recommend row 3.

The trip will take several days, and there are no berths, and no head :(

How long can Loroi go without sleep, or using the facilites?

Well there is an area labelled as a vestibule which although a fairly ambiguous term one of its possible meanings is a toilet.

It also fits with the kind of language the Loroi use so sounds like the kind of word they would use to refer to the heads.

As for the lack of berths people manage to sleep in airline seats (not generally for several days at time admittedly)...

Yeah, maybe the vestibules have that sort of facility in them, though it looks like they lose a lot more in ceiling than they gain in lower floor, so they're shorter spaces. As to the sleeping arrangements, it is a military transport, and not made for overmuch comfort probably. I remember my father telling stories about accommodations on board US navy ships (late 50s to early 70s) and even worse, when they flew him place to place ion a c-47.
