As some of you may have noticed, the website was unavailable most of the day Thursday. It's now back up, and hopefully there won't be any further interruptions in service in the near future.
The site had run up against a monthly bandwidth cap, which was remedied by simply upgrading the plan to unlimited bandwidth (which is actually cheaper than the old plan).

Cheaper than the old plan? That's pretty amusing.
Re: Well-of-souls.com Outage
Yeah, this is the second time it's happened... force me to "upgrade" to a cheaper plan. I guess I should be glad, but it would be nice if they (Yahoo) would say, "hey, please upgrade to a new plan" instead of cutting off my service.
I had to call customer service to find out why the service was out, and it took the tech about fifteen minutes to figure out that I had just hit a bandwidth cap.

At least the solution to the problem sounds like it was relatively painless, rather than painful.

Gah. I was going into Outsider withdrawal for awhile there.
Nice to see everything worked out. Bandwidth caps can be a real pain.

I suppose it's slightly better than hitting a knee cap...
Re: Well-of-souls.com Outage
Suprised they didn't just show bandwidth cap limit when trying to access the page.
Re: Well-of-souls.com Outage
Probably for security reasons, especially given nature of data mining and trolling communities these days. Displaying a bandwidth cap message hands out the information that the site has bandwidth limits placed on it so you could use it to look up package information or invites possible capping attempts by the idiots.
