Two kinds?Michael wrote:I saw one like that for a comic called "Two Kinds", goal was only a few thousand, ended up with 10s of thousands in a few weeks, it was meant to last 2 months or something and had to be extended, its still going I think
A nice comic that did run for a while, what are they kickstarting for?

Re: Distraction thread
The comic its self is still going, I think he got the funds to do the book and by the look of NOMAD's post he may be going for anotherKarst45 wrote:Two kinds?Michael wrote:I saw one like that for a comic called "Two Kinds", goal was only a few thousand, ended up with 10s of thousands in a few weeks, it was meant to last 2 months or something and had to be extended, its still going I think

A part of me says "HELL YES," but another part says "BUT THAT COULD TAKE AWAY FROM THE COMIC".Karst45 wrote:

I am yelling at myself and I don't know why.
Re: Distraction thread
No, valid point, but another way to approach such an Endeavour, might be for some fans to devote themselves to working on the animated series, leaving Arioch as creator/content manager, who would have overall last say on the content on the anime project and any other elements on the stories (IIRC the story was sorta . It might mean a few less pages for each update, as Arioch would give the anime team more concepts drawing, hints on the story and yes/no on the direction on the film. Personally, if it were approached like the above, then an flash or tradition animated outsider story could be made very true to the comics character (with slight changes due to change in medium).Mr Bojangles wrote:A part of me says "HELL YES," but another part says "BUT THAT COULD TAKE AWAY FROM THE COMIC".Karst45 wrote:

Only problem with a fanmade thing...are any of you women?
We could all fight over the five male parts, two of which are one-line characters and one of which hasn't actually shown up yet!

Re: Distraction thread
We're not using simpletext for the Emissary? What are we, barbarians?

Re: Distraction thread
I wasn't aware SimpleText was capable of text-to-speech.
I'm rather fond, though, of the Charles and Rich voices on AT&T's text-to-speech gizmo; or the Ryan, Peter, and Graham voices on this one.

I would be willing to put a buck down that the next book won't come out until the TV show reaches it. I wouldn't be surprised if the next book is actually the novelization of the TV season.

with a kick start of 1 000 000$ I believe we will have a female castCount Casimir wrote:Only problem with a fanmade thing...are any of you women?

Re: Distraction thread
I don't think I'm going to take that bet. I hope he's got notes and stuff for everything, 'cuz I'm not sure he's going to finish the series while he's still alive.fredgiblet wrote:A Song of Ice and Fire.Mr Bojangles wrote:A part of me says "HELL YES," but another part says "BUT THAT COULD TAKE AWAY FROM THE COMIC".
