If the Loroi recognized his singing voice, it could be that some of the Loroi realize that he is in fact not Ensign Alexander Jardin, but Major Tom.

But why lie about his name and rank?
And was he lying about being Major Tom, too?
How deep does this alien's deceit run?

And he was speaking to Ground Control...in a supposedly abandoned system!

Humaniti must be the sneakiest of all aliens!

In a universe were stealth and invisibility dont existe, humanity can hide an entire planet. This system is just one big holographic display that make it look like it only a propyl (or how ever you write those)

Heh. That´s a german song. :D

I remember it being #1 throughout europe.

(the first song about Major Tom from Bowie was before, but it was about a junkie, not an astronaut.)

The lyrics that Alex recites are from "Space Oddity" by David Bowie, not the later German knock-off.

More like a new interpretation. (There´s also a later english version of this song, also by Peter Schilling)
I´m pretty sure i still have a LP with this song on it...

It's linked in Solemn's post at the top of the page.

Necroposting FTW.

I still wonder about fireblades facial expression. Will we ever get a hint/explanation in the pages about that?

I saw the word "page" in orange and got all excited for a second.

Anyway, looks to me like Fireblade's just receiving sanzai. It might even be particularly surprising for her to make such a blatant facial expression.

You mean we can't space him? You promised!

I'm not very happy with the way that sequence of panels turned out, so I may have to revisit it at some point.

I've always interpreted Stillstorm's expression as "one slip up, airlock him" and Fireblade's expressions as "Move!" and "Understood, sir."

Sorry for that one.

Yes, that´s what i think, too. But what?
Count Casimir wrote:It might even be particularly surprising for her to make such a blatant facial expression.
Exactly. SO WHAT IS IT??

Nah, you don´t easily waste such an assett.

Hm, that´d pretty ordinary. :(

More riddles.
"Great".
I was looking for quite the opposite, y´know... 8-)

Arioch has said that Loroi body language is very, very similar to Human body language. And, in general, reality is pretty boring, with occasional bouts of pants-shitting terror.

That being said, I am open to more interesting interpretations. The weirder, the better. :D

Panel 3 - Stillstorm "After the batte, Pirate and the slave girl in my quarters"
Rune Laurel "Only if Fireblade is the slave girl"

Panel 4 - Fireblade "I'm the slave girl this time?"

Panel 5 - Fireblade "Move it, Pinkie! I have clothes to change!"

Definitely weird, Turrosh, kudos.

Any other takers?
