I imagine Beryl has quite a bit to say to Alex.

Well Alex Is an attractive fellow! Gentle eyes, honey colored hair, tall healthy frame, strong-willed personality, and a respectful demeanor. What's not to like?

Well don't forget Beryl is not human. Maybe as a warrior species those are sign of weakness that are not attractive to loroi.

By the way, been having that song in my head for quite some time but didn't want to start a topic for it alone (since am sure it would get only get 2-3 yes/no then the topic would be closed).

A couple month ago the radio in my sector started to broadcast a song by "dragonnette" Named : "Hello"

So the question is: am i the only one imagining beryl with that voice appearing at the least expected time just to say hello. Like Alex speaking serious business with Tempo then beryl head shop up from the top of the panel and she say "hello ^^" Or Alex in is bed with another loroi she then get at 2 inch of his face and say hello again.

Am sure she could be that much annoying/overzealous if the comic were more of a comedies :)

Nope. ;)
Alex is small for a human male.
He may be a tick taller than a male loroi, though.

Not really. He's pretty average as far as height and weight are concerned, and Loroi males are probably going to be lucky to push 5 feet.

Well, in terms of being unusually tall, a Loroi being attracted to Alex would be like a man attracted to 7+ foot tall women.

hi hi

For humans, the norm is that the female is 5 inches shorter than the male. For Loroi it seems that the female is an as-of-yet unstated height taller on average. However, I don't think Loroi have the same kind of pairing rituals that we do, so physical appearance might not factor into the equation quite so much.

((I realize that statistically I am something of an outlier, but height has never really entered into any of my heuristics for assessing attractiveness.))

Insider states that the Loroi Female average is 5' 7", while the males are generally 5'.

hi hi

I wonder what the distribution and deviation from the mean is. We've seen Loroi women of varying sizes, but perhaps Loroi men do not vary as much?

If I recall correctly, I think 5' is the upper limit. At a guess, Loroi males probably range between 4' 4" and 4' 10", but I'm certainly no doctor.

The exact quote I remember is that loroi men scale to loroi Women at the same ratio as human women scale to human men. So most loroi like Beryl would be at the low end of human male average height. (5"6-6"6) Human basketball players would seem like space marines to them.

Fireblade is the exception, I forgot her exact height but she can look Alex in the eyebrows while wearing boots. His height probably unnerves her more than the rest of the crew :)

Either way, it kind of looks like Beryl is towering over whoever she's looking at (probably Alex who's still sitting down after she stands up?) I sense more invasive questions on the horizon.

Well said Captain, well said :) I sure Alex might have an easiler time with that question, then he did of the "sterlized" Question Beryl had before

Not really, he's around average for an American today. Granted we are tending towards being taller so he'd probably be a bit short for the 23rd century (assuming the trend continues).
He may be a tick taller than a male loroi, though.
More than a tick, he's the better part of a foot taller than an average Loroi male.

They don't and they don't. Granted Alex isn't even close to the norm for Loroi males so physical appearance likely WILL be an concern for him if he tries to get his Kirk on, but when the Loroi are dealing with LOROI males physical appearance isn't really a concern.

I think the outsider said it was unusual for tall Loroi males to be above five feet. So I'm guessing a five foot Loroi male would be considered respectfully tall.

Though Beryl does seem a bit... at ease despite the winter tide and all it's 340 crew being space dust. She'd seemed awfully concerned for them previously.

I imagine the context of the latest WIP picture will not fully make sense until the next page is completed.
