lastenras already sounds like "latrine"....

Anyway, the symbol made it look like a drop of blood to me, so I thought that that would be the toilet for PMS-girls.
But that may just be my brain....

Another great image.
Looks like the next page creeps closer!
(BTW: tomorrow! it should come tomorrow! (Or tonight, as it's still Monday here - just to avoid having more than one year between pages))

The word on the screen at right is besos; on the door, lastenras.

I'm reading lastenris?

The "C" curve of the prelast letter looks more closed then the Trade letter "A" is.

I've forgotten there was so much space between the control chairs and the passengers cabin. One could almost place a bed in it.

Yeah. That is a bit of an obstructed view, isn't it?

Nice rendering, in any case, Arioch! :-D

hi hi

Considering they have the range (as much as range counts in space) for cross system transfers, they might actually want to unfold a bed/cot in there. Although I tend to get the feeling that when a Captain has their own personal shuttle, they tend to get used because they have a high opinion of their time and want to arrive as quickly as possible.

Granted, Stillstorm doesn't seem to make use of her shuttle in the normal way, having converted it to carry cargo instead. I get the feeling she isn't your average Captain in a number of different ways.

Happy anniversary, Outsider!

One year without a new page!

(page 112 has been published on 4 April 2016 [1])

At least the WIP indicates new stuff coming up. YAY!

hi hi

Oh yeah... Alex still doesn't know about the Loroi taboo on physical contact. He noticed that no one moved to help him in the lift, but nobody has actually explained it to him yet. Yay, more opportunities for weird human customs and traditions! :D

Our beloved author posted even more:
(spoilers added due to image size)

So indeed, social awkwardness ensues.

I am also hyped to see that work is progressing in Chapter three! Character studies are the start.

How cute! I love the "Deer in the Headlights" reaction.. Alex gets out of his Loroi hosts! It like they are always wondering ~ 'Is he initiating some alien Human mating ritual.. should I smile or drag him into some dark corner for a while?'

LOLS! This IS going to be epic! :)

I just wanted to say that this is, so far, my favourite piece you have drawn for Outsider, Arioch. Even more than Laughing Beryl!

It's so meaningful! There goes Alex, full of good-will and willing to become friends with Talon, and her look of total surprise (dare I say she might even be slightly scared?). I really like how the scene is set up, and I just love the body language of both characters! It brings so many parallels to the whole Human-Lori diplomatic conundrum; Humanity willing to extend a hand in friendship to the Loroi and the Loroi's surprise to the sheer strangeness of us humans, what with our too touchy-speaky way of life and being psychically inert, yet so similar in appearance to them!

All of this meaning that I absolutely loved this frame! :D

**raises eyebrow**

That pose seems sort of familiar.

**Entirely too much effort later**

For some reason I keep imagining Alex with a Joy Buzzer in his hand there.

Yeah, it's "up there" for me, too. LOL.

This, plus the sneak-peek at 116 makes me hopeful that Alex may have found real friends and comrades in these pilots. They seem more his style.

Arioch wrote:Nedatan is the largest male philosopher order, which contains a numbers of sub-specialties, chiefly:

Nedatan Ninzadi: scholars, usually the offspring of Listel, who serve as a living repository of the sagas, which are not written down.

Nedatan Tiret: counselors who recount the sagas and discuss their meaning, in both public and private sessions, and who offer spiritual and psychological counsel. These discussions may involve direct telepathic contact via touch (even in public sessions), and the private sessions may also include sexual contact. (Insert Catholic Priest joke here)

Nedatan Timadi: sensitive telepaths who remotely monitor the distribution and well-being of the populace. They use similar techniques and devices to those also used by the Farseers.

The fellow at upper left is a Nilodi ("Preserver"), which is a position of authority within the Nedatan order. The fellow at upper right is a Timadi ("Seer"). The other sketches are not yet identified with a particular character or position.
Quazel wrote:Why is there a such a bright light under the console on the left side of the cabin?
It illuminates the crawlspace behind the console, in addition to providing indirect lighting for the overall space.
