I just wanted to say that this is, so far, my favourite piece you have drawn for Outsider, Arioch. Even more than Laughing Beryl!
It's so meaningful! There goes Alex, full of good-will and willing to become friends with Talon, and her look of total surprise (dare I say she might even be slightly scared?). I really like how the scene is set up, and I just love the body language of both characters! It brings so many parallels to the whole Human-Lori diplomatic conundrum; Humanity willing to extend a hand in friendship to the Loroi and the Loroi's surprise to the sheer strangeness of us humans, what with our too touchy-speaky way of life and being psychically inert, yet so similar in appearance to them!

This, plus the sneak-peek at 116 makes me hopeful that Alex may have found real friends and comrades in these pilots. They seem more his style.

The fellow at upper left is a Nilodi ("Preserver"), which is a position of authority within the Nedatan order. The fellow at upper right is a Timadi ("Seer"). Though it would actually be hilarious - and detonate several premises of WtDwJ, not that I mind - if humans and Loroi are perfectly capable of telepathic contact - provided that the human is in an agreeable mood towards it.
