Looks like the audience worries were unfounded.

Well to be fair, we are thinking about childhood trauma.

Ah, a parapet for brooding. With waterfalls too. I wonder if an appreciable fraction of Loroi enjoy a scenic overlook?

I had a nice trip to the Rheinfalls a few years ago, and they were indeed relaxing.

Edit: added some missing words to connect my rambles together...

Arioch, could we please have that last panel posted in Insider at full-resolution? It's a gorgeous scene.

I first saw it on Facebok and it's a shame it has to be scaled down for the actual comic. Great work!

Fireblade: "Tempo please, tell the weird pink alien that I am not talking with him"
Tempo: "She wants me to say..."

Tempo may have added a lot of context to the description (like explaining the lay of the land and geographical features), but it is still surprising that Fireblade did share some personal memories with the pink alien she visibly doesn't think too highly about.

I guess it would be something like "there you have it, now leave me be" - she's visibly tired of his constant prodding.

Is the band in the sky a planetary ring or a very large vapour trail?

Hardly constant. Twice in one day. Otherwise she hasn't even seen him for weeks.

Our first look at loroi architecture!

Well, it's a city. They like curves; there are a few squarish skyscrapers that would seem perfectly at home in one of today's Earth cities, but the most prominent ones have a round base and are topped by domes.

That might be a planetary ring system...

Kneejerk reaction: I'd like to know what Fireblade's first response was.
Thinking about it: her superior officer is there, probably wasn't too bad (if anything at all).

My personal headcannon is:

"If that idiot wants to learn about my time at Seren then I will start by how we kept fools like him silent at all times!"

I think she was bored and not interest interest of participating in action that she can't do. Especially when one is throwing the weiled daggers at her in verbal form. She probably told that "she enjoyed being alone most of the time" and Tempo filled the rest, more colorful but not being totally wrong. Note that Fireblade does pay some mior curiousity toward the tale told on her, even if she tries to act as it doesn't interest or move her in any way.

When I first saw the image of the city, I thought of Rio de Janeiro.

Somehow just reminded me.

Thanks Arioch!

It's possible she's comfortable in her own mind, as well - someone whose solitude does not bring loneliness with it. Get that impression from the comfy/relaxed position + peaceful city overlook.

Do they have orbital stations visible to the naked eye, like Scaffold over Kharak?
