Moving Fan Works Threads

If you are the author of a fanfiction or orther fan works thread that you would like moved here, just post here or message me (via the forum, email, discord, or wherever) and I'll move it.

It's not required to move fanfiction threads here if you would rather not.

Maybe we just link them here, to have one thread with all fanfics, to make it easier to find them.... (in which case my post should get deleted again, as it is off-topic then)

For fanfiction and other fan works, I think that's up to the respective authors to decide.

But I think the "Writing Prompts" thread would be one of the first threads to move... It definitely has grown up, and out and still offers hooks for spinoffs...

Heck, sure I'll have to tack on a bit to the latest installment. :)

And, nothing against leaving this single thread open as a "move request" thread for the time being. Helps to have them in one place rather than have the notes scattered all over the place in several threads, private messages and whereever?

Meh, it is my fault anyway. I access this forum though the "View active topics" link, and didn't see that Arioch created a subforum.
I feared the "moved here" to mean "into this thread".

And indeed, I second the move of the "writing prompts" into the new "Fan Works" subforum.

As the one who started it, I concur... it makes sense.

It should be pointed that moving threads doesn't break the links, I assumed it would and had prepared myself to spend an hour to fix the links but I was pleasantly surprised once the move was done. Arioch, your forum is better than 90% of the others I frequent.

That's because phpBB links to a threadnumber (or postnumber), and that one doesn't cahnge when the thread gets moved.Only in the database the thread and post are linked to arbitrary subforums....

May I suggest moving this thread http://www.well-of-souls.com/forums/vie ... f=4&t=1143 here? In my opinion, the story, although unfinished, turns to solid gold after a rough start and should be preserved.

I agree, the latter additions are some of the best on the board.

Would it be possible to move the "Shout in the Dark" thread here?

Hey, I just saw that it wasn't necessary to move threads to the fan works site and I've already created my thread in the fan-works forum, so would it be possible to move, or link, my thread L-U-C-Y onto the outsider forum?

Also, do you know how to edit titles?

Edit the first post of the topic and you can edit the title.

I would prefer it if fan fics were gathered at one place, easier for people interested in fan fiction to find them. Just add a link to your signature if you want to make your story more visible, from my experience fan fiction stories take some time to draw attention for regular comments.

Ah, ok. Thanks.

Guess, I'll just have it kept in the Fan Forum, then.

Since I'm accessing this very quiet forum through the active topics, I saw it immediately.
It seems a little stop'n'go, as if I'm missing some reference, hence I've not directly commented on it, but read the first part about a day after you posted it.
