See something you like?
On more serious note: I hate nightmares, they slip past defenses and attack emotions directly. I don't have any usually, but had one this year for the first time in decade or more... really feel that final panel.Terrors may indeed stalk these shadows, but yonder — a glint of gold.

Great way to look suspcious Alex

Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
Fourth panel is what attacks my emotions directly. It's not fair guys, I refuse to believe that drawing alien redheads this cute is somehow legal in the US - straight up cardiac arrest hazard.

./whisper "kiss her... kiss her..."
But more seriously, don't lol. I am curious about what is going on in his head right now though.

I think it's more like hes realised his connection is with Fireblade in some way.
Although between Alex and Fireblade l cant help feeling Arioch is using Mary Torrans Lathraps poem as inspiration.
Excuse not posting the whole thing.

Just walk a mile in his moccasins
Before you abuse, criticize and accuse.
If just for one hour, you could find a way
To see through his eyes, instead of your own muse

I think he is just getting the picture that these dreams are probably from fireblades past and feels bad.
Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
I don't know about pitying or being sympathetic toward Fire Blade, but I do agree that he is re-evaluating some earlier impressions he has of her.

Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
But does he actually realize he was in her nightmare?
Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
I think he's mildly traumatized, experiencing spaceStockholm syndrome, and in regards to Red... ugh. Complicated. What if that was where the scar came from? What was that sanzai flicker from the back of the shuttle? Whose side is Pocket Historian™ on, and why does it have a sense of humor? Is Jardin about to get flung like a ragdoll again?
Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
Well, there is no scar on her face.
So far, he's been wondering about her eye injury, which is not visible in the last panel.
(when Tempo told Fireblade's story, his mind imaged oddly detailed, page 180)
He may be a bit confused right now.
But then, the external injury in a lvl 10 tech civilization can be healed, but the mental scar image Fireblade has of herself may include even worse injuries...
Also, Beryl declined knowing about an eye injury ("What are you talking about?"), and Tempo declines that anyone talked about it(page 182).
I wonder if any of the current crew know about a past injury.
Tempo likely does, but if he knows about her eye injury on Seren, it may indicate his information about Tempest, may be out of date, up to a point where his information source about it's crew and how they look like must be from Seren and the Enemy.
Not good.
And Beryl and Tempo are trained to find discrepancies.
They will want to know why he knows about an eye injury, which he will be unable to explain.

Might not be her, the eye colours are different?
Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
But it is Foreblade's story.

No worries, my fault for taking so long.
Do we know its Fireblades story? She might be acting as a conduit, there might even be a thing where Loroi suffering from nightmares 'link in' with a powerful Teidar so they can kill there dream demons.
Come to think of it, do we know how they dream? Being psychicaly connected?

Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
Wow they are connected bet this is going to set off some problems when the Lorori find out.
Re: Page 192: Sleep well, girls!
Rampant speculation time, my favorite! I agree, but only if the Jardin shield is linked to the gatecrasher force going unnoticed. Call that a 10/10 for priority. Without the link, it's a 3. Enabling the Historian spy would be an 8, I'm thinking.CrimsonFALKE wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 9:17 pmWow they are connected bet this is going to set off some problems when the Lorori find out.

Yes,on page 179, Tempo starts the translation of Fireblade's story.DevilDalek wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 7:48 pmDo we know its Fireblades story? Assuming she's telling the truth (she is a Loroi after all), this must be her story.
For the dream, we don't know. But the eye colour seems to be the same to me.
And we know our favourite Teidar did have a very hard time on Seren.
