So, to actually animate a character from a detailed comic based iteration, I have to simplify a lot of it, and also come up with fixed designs for Beryl's head, body, armor, etc. while still keeping the essence of the design. Needless to say, the most simplifying will be done in the armor...

Here's the head so far. edit: with a 3/4 view and some test shots.

I'm breaking the form down in discreet strokes, much like a pictographic character, so that I can draw it the same way every time. With over two hundred frames in Very Good Care, getting the precision of this down is rather important. Making a simplified design with consistent features is crucial.

edit: The simplification of standard Loroi armor. There's no way around it, the comic designs for the armor are insanely complex and too time consuming to animate. I think this captures the essential parts of the design, mostly.

Wow. Wolf329, you have improved quite a bit. No worries about the armor. Looks just as good as the original Outsider armor. And Beryl's expressions are very well executed so far. Can't wait to see the finished animation.

Hey I also noticed the Outsider universe doesn't seem to have any unnecessarily terrifying mega-fauna so I decided to correct that with a fan suggestion for one.



Imagine a mollusc crossed with an Antarctic Bristle Worm that decided to not stop growing.

That reminds me of an idea I had about a huge, almost always peaceful heavily armoured creature. The idea was that occationaly during diral training in the area where thease creatures exist some screwup actually manage to anger them turning them to something you better run from, fast. Shooting at them with a low powered training weapon will do the trick nicely.
