Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
Good.
It's always what I try first, because if it works, I have another SSD or HDD running as pure backup drive... (If I got it in already, it shall remain running there, until it fails completely.)

The Ur-Quan Masters finally gets a continuation of the story! Late backing possible, click link.

Good to have an update! Even if it is for such circumstances!
You need a viking funeral for Talon

Okay, after some extended wrangling I think I have (almost) everything set up and back to functional.
(And yeah, I need a bigger desk.)

What are the characters on your desk?
Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
Nendoroid versions of Kai'Sa and Lux from League of Legends.
Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
How you manage the problem with different color presentation on different monitors and different interfaces?
Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
There's no direct solution... everyone has a different monitor, so you never know exactly how the end product is going to be viewed. So you just have to keep that in mind and not go too extreme in terms of dark or light or saturation. In that sense it helps to have multiple monitors, because I can see several different examples of how it might look. Early on in the comic I had a single monitor which turned out to be very dark, and so there were some background elements which I had thought were nearly invisible which turned out to be quite noticeable on many brighter monitors.
That said, I draw and paint on the main (center) monitor, and use the side monitors to display references and other materials, so I'm only directly working with the color balance on a single monitor.
Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
How do you draw, actually? Using the mouse and keyboard or a graphic pad?
Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
I use a Wacom tablet to draw. The black thing below the keyboard in the image above.

I'd love to get one of those enormous full tower cases from the 90s. Maybe in a shiny black. Think:

Fan noise frightens the apes though.

Good god, how much coffee do you drink!
Glad your back up and running.

Re: TALON vs. ECHO (Computer Issues)
Not much, why do you ask?
In case it's not obvious, two of the three mugs there are holding pens and other tools, not coffee.

Yes, yes! That is how I disguise my coffee addiction to!
Well, glad your back up and running, hope the data transfer and set up wasn't to much trouble.

As a professional Computer Repair tech and a T2 MSP System admin. If you ever need some advise on pc repair or backup solutions. Hit me up. Seeing these posts a touch late but better than never.
If your backup tool/software doesnt let you restore off to separate system or allow you to browse files directly to restore off. I would suggest switching to the Veeam solution moving forward. It works wonders for me personally and professionally.
Small low power Nuc's or 1L (small form factor, sff) systems make great small home servers at low power costs (sub 60watt systems).
