Did Seren have a Skylift (orbital cable, however you want to name that)?

He’s having this dream while under a pig pile of cute space elves? Freud will have a field day. “There are times when a collapsing space elevator is just a collapsing space elevator, but this isn’t one of them.”

Earth?
I'm thinking the same thing actually. Don't know why but something about the designs ruined buildings and orbital elevator seem to be something that humans would build.

The ruins to the left remind me of our human ferroconcrete skyscrapers. Loroi architecture we have seen so far looks round and organic.

i dont know why but my first thought was "poor korin, that kitty did no harm"...

I think this is ether a premonition, or memories of one of the lorai.

I am leaning towards Sartorius's comment. It its prob earth and this is the "results" of his contact with Lorai.

Kami-sama would NEVER let that happen! He'd call King Kai to drag Goku in to help first!

Given what was being talked about right before he went to bed, I think Alex may well be dreamining about what happened to Fireblade... except, not having been to a Loroi world before, he doesn't know how they'd build groundside. His imagination then substitutes human architecture because he knows what it looks like.
If every cloud had a silver lining, there would be a lot more plane crashes.

The ruined structure on page 186 looks similar to the Armis orbital ring as depicted in the Insider's Barsam digest.
Therefore, a Dreiman-era relic?

We've already seen square Loroi skyscrapers. On page 179. Surely they can leave these bombed out ruins.

I don't wanna go freudian but that's a pretty phallic dream to end the update on, considering the situation.

For some reason, I was thinking 'What if this is Earth...'

Freud is credited for generating interest in the study of the subconscious, but all his ideas about it are thoroughly discredited nowadays and only survives in pop culture.

But let's be freudian: the skyscrapers are in ruins, the space elevator is broken and hanging limply from orbit. All phallic elements are destroyed. The imagery is clear: the loroi are totally killing Jardin's boner. :P

I don't think it's Earth; from what's been happening before (like getting that vision of Fireblade) it seems more likely that Jardin is getting glimpses of Loroi dreams. Probably Fireblade's, but perhaps from all of them to varying extent.

It would be cool if they could get to speak to each other in the dream ...

I'll say Alex is either pinging off a couple of the girls, proving his psi sensitivity while in a REM state and experiencing one of their memories, or he's having a nightmare based on his fears of what might happen to Earth.

This was my first thought - it's Jardin intruding on Fireblade's memories again - but that usually means it's not the case.
