Re: Question for Arioch
Looks pretty slick, if I do say so myself.
Actually, it's possible that you may be able to use those images, as the owner (Sven Olsen) had said previously that he planned to allow them to be used for non-commercial purposes. I'll mention it to him. You can also contact him directly if you're interested: see his comment ("fwiffo") here.

Re: Question for Arioch
Well with me drawing it will take awhile to make Loroi ships as as can be seen with my WIP human cruiser I somewhat lack the artistic touch :p what I am generally good at is taking apart scripts and putting back together for my own use. but I will try and thanks to Sven I now have both blue and red variants of some of the ships.
Re: Question for Arioch
oooh, red vs blue! i see some epic PvP in the future!
i actually bought the game, and despite being a frikkin alpha build it's lots of fun....that says a few things about the game imho.
side note, been thinking of a game for a long time and starsector is pretty much the perfect platform to make it on, basically it's a lost in space scenario, find your way back home(tm) with lots of randomness to give it more replay value, waiting for jumpdrives to enter the game before trying to get some people interested in making it, since it will require a tech tree of some sort too, a full conversion of the game really.

Re: Question for Arioch
latest 4 additions

A shuttle armed with 3 energy weapons

Lightly armoured but heavily armed frigate

A attack Destroyer

Dreadnaught note most of the weapon systems are empty because i brought it in the main campagin and i only had enough cash for 2 large ballistic and some point defence weaps

the ship refit screen

and the refit in action in the simulator

Re: Question for Arioch
well depending on the medium used to make model i could help at some point, if i find time :Suthilian wrote:Well with me drawing it will take awhile to make Loroi ships as as can be seen with my WIP human cruiser I somewhat lack the artistic touch :p what I am generally good at is taking apart scripts and putting back together for my own use. but I will try and thanks to Sven I now have both blue and red variants of some of the ships.
Re: Question for Arioch
Medium is just a single picture of the ship from directly above I can turn it into a png file if needed.
For those wondering when I will put up more updates it won't be until I have finished moving as my computer is in storage as I am moving.

agreed
Re: Starsector Mod
If it'd help, I'm an avid pixel artist and could donate some time to from-scratch work or doing touch ups/detail addtion.
Here's some of my work.
I haven't been doign a lot of 'used future' style spritework lately as I usually prefer clean shading, but it is in my purview.
Regardless, I may have to buy starsector if there's an Outsider mod project ^^
edit: invented new words, promptly retired them.

Re: Starsector Mod
it's actually a pretty good game, and considering it's still in alpha, that is saying something.
and it seems to be very mod friendly, which is good.
